Franklin's 6 months stats

Franklin's 6 month check up proves he's continuing down the long and lean path, much to our surprise. He's 17lbs 12oz and 28 inches (50th and 90th percentiles, respectively). Can you believe our little chunker is now just an average weight baby? He's sitting up now for several minutes at a time, long enough to play with toys like "baby's first baseball" and get into Theo's bucket of blocks :)

Franklin is sitting up!

Practicing...he's sitting for longer and longer. AND he rolled over from his back to his tummy day before yesterday!

Update!

Franklin totally sat up for about 10 seconds TWICE tonight. And Theo took off his own shirt and counted all the way to eighteen all by himself. Thirteen and fourteen were indistinguishable but he said both!

Holy moley rolley poley

Franklin is 6 months old today! It is hard to believe he's that old already, but at the same time, it seems like he's been a part of our family forever. He is starting to get mobile! He doesn't seem particularly interested in rolling all the way over, but he rolls around back and forth whenever he's on the floor anymore onto his side, and some how spins himself around so he's never pointed the same direction two minutes later. He's very strong on his stomach, Matt even said he moved himself forward while on his stomach today! He loves to bounce in his activity chair, and does the cutest "stepping" motion with each foot when he does so. This one might walk earlier than his brother did. He loves to eat solids as we introduce new foods every few days, though he is starting to develop a preference for the sweet foods like pear, mango, and sweet potato. He is still marvelously easy going, and sleeps through the night often. We'll have his check up next week and get his stats, but I know he's already >17lbs.
