Blossoming buddyhood

Franklin's personality is blossoming in concert with the development of his relationship with his brother. This afternoon Matt took Theo to swim class and I stayed home for a little Mommy & Franklin time. We played outside, and Franklin continues to be very interested in anything he can find in the sky, such as airplanes this afternoon (we check for the moon and rainbows every night before bed). When Theo and Daddy got home, Franklin went running for the door, calling "bruh-bruh!" and the two embraced in a hug! They have truly become best friends. Theo's hammy style is perfect for Franklin, who loves to laugh and be silly himself. He, too, is tapping into his inner ham. Later, at dinner, Franklin shared about his fun afternoon with Mommy outside. "Airplane. Dog. Ball."

Emulating his brother!
Experimenting with self portraits on the iPhone.

Did a summersault on accident the other evening! Here he his responding to our encouragement to replicate the feat.
Coloring on the porch while Daddy mows the lawn.
Making masks together
Play tent time.

Conquering his fears in swim class.
Mommy figured out Theo could draw faces with eyes for Franklin so Mommy can do the dishes while they draw together. Theo tells Franklin, "I'm going to take a break and work on my own picture now. Is that OK with you?"
Just hanging out.

Family Outing to Tryon Creek

Franklin, of course, was off and running!

A walk in the neighborhood with Mom

Let's go on an explore in the neighborhood and see how many tulips we can find!
