Coming into what I hope will be a long and happy phase in these young brother's lives (and especially for their parents). They are playing together more and more and even sharing occasionally. Theo does lots of teaching and Franklin lots of paying attention to big brother. Franklin is coming out of that awful separation anxiety phase and playing on his own in the evenings, making them more relaxed.
His verbal skills continue to grow; my favorite new words: "humming bird" which he sees outside and identifies, "hum bir!" He also is getting closer to sentences; he saw Daddy leaving to walk the dog the other night and looked me straight in the eye and said "Dada. Dog." while nodding very seriously.
The are both absolutely made for coloring right now. Franklin says "dwaw! dwaw!" Hopefully we have moved passed the biting-the-tip-off-the-marker phase. Thank goodness for washable markers as we are still working on consistently only coloring on the paper. Theo, on the other hand, is having an absolute explosion of creative, dare I say genius, with his markers. Suddenly he draws these elaborate city-scape scenes with grass and garden beds and rivers and bridges and roads and cars and flowers and slides and people. They are absolutely beautiful. He was recently grounded from his evening TV for hitting, and now he doesn't even want to go back to it, he just wants to sit and draw with me before bed, then go hang the picture in his room.
Splashy rascal.
"Quiet time" before bed. Everybody in the crib! Owl pillow fight!
