Daddy took the kids around evening walks over the bridges and around the property; a favorite activity was driving their cars through the dirt...and of course getting dirty themselves.

Here the majestic Metolious River springs from a nondescript spot at the base of a hill. Suddenly, there is just a river. It is rather magical and inspired some silliness.

This was a frequent view mine - teething toddler wrapped around my legs.

Summer Vacation: The Pond at Lake Creek Lodge

 This gorgeous fishing pond was right on the property where we were staying, made for a wonderful short walk anytime we wanted, and was an excellent rock-throwing spot for the kids.
