Franklin has changed so much these last weeks. He is really getting into his little boy body and leaving his babyhood behind. He is still just as snuggly and sweet at he always has been, though, thank goodness! The terrible twos are in full effect with this one already. The latest is that whenever anyone says no to him, he just starts crying. Part of that has to do with the last of the 2-year molars making their way through. He has had such a hard time with teething, it makes sense he's leaving this phase behind him by going out strong! Poor little guys has woken every night for 4 nights in a row from it.
One of Franklin's newest activities is sliding head-first off the couch. He thinks its hilarious. He's also getting quite skilled at all types of climbing. It won't be long before he realizes he can climb out of his crib. We're thinking about giving him the race car bed for his second birthday. Language is coming along but he still seems pretty pleased with one-word sentences. More and more words are coming though; including eight, nine, and ten and empty. His pronunciation is getting better and better, and he seems to relish pronouncing the last syllable of certain words like "bonk" and "bat". We may even be potty training soon. He's fascinated with his potty training books and has started to want to sit on the potty. Of course, he wants to do whatever brother does.
This was taken a few weeks ago; he looks SO BIG and OLD!
He likes to put his blanket over the coffee table then arrange his cars just so - reminds me a lot of his brother at this age.
He's gone from brushing his teeth while sitting on the counter to wanting to stand on the stool just like brother.
Mommy's youngest baby doesn't look like a baby anymore! Here he is with his new haircut and a skinned knee.
In absolute heaven with the remote control Thomas the Train. He and brother like to put things on the track to knock over and then giggle with glee at the results.
Turning lights off & on. Never gets old.
